JECAPH Hostels

Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to residents and applicants using the JECAPH Hostels website and resident services.

Effective 8 September 2026

1. Who operates the service

This service is operated by JECAPH Hostels, the owner and manager of the student hostel at SL 17 North Efiakuma, Cocoa Villa Estate, Charlotte Grant Avenue, Takoradi, Ghana. The platform supports room applications, payment confirmation, resident records, maintenance requests, support, and hostel notices.

2. Eligibility and room allocation

  • Room applications are subject to eligibility, availability, timely payment, and hostel rules.
  • A room is not confirmed until the full amount due has been received and JECAPH Hostels confirms it.
  • Room occupancy must not exceed the capacity shown for that room.
  • You may not assign, sublet, transfer, or allow another person to occupy your allocation without prior written approval.
  • Information supplied during registration and booking must be accurate and kept up to date.

3. Prices, payments, and utilities

  • Charges are stated in Ghana cedis and the amount payable is shown before checkout.
  • Online card and mobile-money payments are processed by Paystack. JECAPH Hostels does not receive or store your card number, PIN, CVV, or mobile-money approval credentials.
  • JECAPH Hostels absorbs the standard Paystack processing fee; it is not added to the displayed booking total.
  • Water, electricity, laundry, kitchen use, and other separately identified services are not included unless the booking description expressly says otherwise.
  • Unpaid or expired room reservations may be released to another eligible student.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund eligibility is governed by the written policy communicated by hostel management and applicable Ghanaian law. This website does not promise a fixed refund percentage or deadline. Ask the hostel office for the current policy before paying if cancellation flexibility is important to you.

5. Resident conduct

  • Keep rooms and shared areas clean and do not damage or alter hostel property.
  • Follow reasonable security, sanitation, safety, visitor, noise, and facility-use rules.
  • Violence, threats, harassment, unlawful activity, substance abuse, hazardous materials, weapons, utility tampering, and conduct that endangers people or property are prohibited.
  • Cooking, gas cookers, electric heaters, and inflammable materials are prohibited in bedrooms. Use designated facilities subject to the hostel's current rules and charges.
  • Serious or repeated breaches may result in warnings, visitor restrictions, repair-cost recovery, loss of allocation, or referral to the appropriate authorities.

6. Maintenance and safety

Report maintenance, repair, security, billing, or welfare concerns promptly through the platform or hostel office. JECAPH Hostels is responsible for reasonable day-to-day management, sanitation, security arrangements, and maintenance of the property.

7. Accounts and electronic records

Keep your account credentials private and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Electronic booking, payment, occupancy, maintenance, support, and communication records may be retained as the hostel's operational records. See our Privacy Policy for how personal data is handled.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms when services or approved hostel policies change. Material changes will be communicated through the platform where practical. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.

9. Contact

Questions may be submitted through the resident support feature or sent by post to P. O. Box SD 316, Accra, Ghana.
